When running DT Max on Windows NT, I get the error message "DTWUTIL.DLL file is linked to missing export MFC42.DLL:6880" or "The ordinal 6880 could not be located in the dynamic link library MFC42.DLL.".

This error will occur if the MFC42.DLL file is missing, damaged or, most likely, an incorrect version (prior to 6.0).

Use the Find utility from your Windows Start menu to locate all MFC42.DLL files present on the computer. Once the files are found, ensure that the MFC42.DLL located in your system directory is the correct version (6.0 or higher) by right-clicking on the file and selecting Properties for version information.

If the file is not a version 6.0 or higher, reinstall DT Max after closing all applications, including any anti-virus software.

If the file is a version 6.0 or higher, verify the version of any MFC42.DLL files found in other application directories. If any of them are not version 6.0 or higher, it is preferable to delete them as they are obsolete and could hinder the operation of many newer applications on this computer.
